1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Admitt ("we", "us", "our") collects and processes personal data. For the purposes of UK data protection law, the data controller is Admitt Ltd, a private limited company registered in Northern Ireland under company number NI730260, with its registered office at 40 Railway Street, Lisburn, BT28 1XP, United Kingdom. Our Data Protection contact is privacy@admitt.com.
2. Scope
This policy covers personal data we process about visitors to our websites, advertisers, venue and network operators, agency users, and other individuals who interact with the Admitt platform. The Admitt platform delivers digital out-of-home advertising; it is not designed to identify individual members of the public who pass screens, and Proof of Display verification is concerned with confirming that a screen played content, not with identifying passers-by.
3. Personal data we collect
Information you provide
- account and profile details (name, email, phone, company, role);
- campaign and billing information (creative, budgets, payment-method metadata held by our payment processor);
- venue and screen details where you operate a network; and
- communications you send us (enquiries, support requests).
Information we collect automatically
- device and usage data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, actions taken);
- cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy); and
- logs relating to platform operation, security and fraud prevention.
Information from third parties
- payment and verification data from our payment processor and integration partners;
- identity or business-verification data where required for onboarding; and
- analytics providers, where you have consented to analytics cookies.
4. How and why we use personal data
We process personal data on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Creating and administering your account; providing the Platform | Performance of a contract |
| Processing campaigns, billing and Pay-Per-Display charges | Performance of a contract |
| Customer support and communications | Contract / legitimate interests |
| Security, fraud prevention and platform integrity | Legitimate interests / legal obligation |
| Product analytics and improvement | Consent (analytics cookies) / legitimate interests |
| Marketing communications | Consent / legitimate interests (with opt-out) |
| Complying with legal, tax and accounting obligations | Legal obligation |
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have assessed that those interests are not overridden by your rights. You can object to such processing as described below.
5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy. Non-essential cookies are set only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
6. Sharing & processors
We share personal data with:
- service providers ("processors") who process data on our instructions, such as hosting, payment processing, email and analytics providers;
- participating Networks and Advertisers strictly to deliver campaigns (for example, creative and campaign metadata);
- professional advisers, auditors and authorities where required by law; and
- a buyer or successor in the event of a merger, acquisition or asset sale.
A current list of our sub-processors is available at admitt.com/sub-processors. We do not sell personal data.
7. International transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we put in place appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and we assess the destination country's protections. You can request details of these safeguards using the contact below.
8. Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes set out above, including to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements, and to resolve disputes. Account and billing records are typically retained for the duration of the relationship and for a defined period afterwards; operational logs are kept for shorter periods.
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls, encryption in transit, and segregation of environments. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any incident, including notifying you and the regulator where required.
10. Your rights
Subject to conditions, you have the right to:
- access a copy of your personal data;
- rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
- erase data (the "right to be forgotten");
- restrict or object to processing, including direct marketing;
- data portability; and
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing.
To exercise any right, contact privacy@admitt.com. We will respond within the statutory timeframe (normally one month).
11. Children
The Platform is intended for business users and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "last updated" date and, where changes are material, provide additional notice.
13. Contact & complaints
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact privacy@admitt.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, although we would welcome the chance to address your concerns first.
